Plywood Panels can be screw-fixed onto timber-framed or steel-framed walls. Most walls have battens or studs at 600 centers and we recommend fixing around the top and bottom edges at 250 centres and the side edges & through the middle of the sheet at 440mm centres – see typical screw fix pattern for 2400 x 1200 sheets. Download PDF here
Screw fix can be used when there is 3-4mm gap between the sheets. Recommended screws are 6 or 8 gauge stainless steel countersunk wood screws 30mm long. Screw can be stainless steel or powder-coated to match the face of the panel if required.
Screw fix is recommended for acoustic panels as these have the felt backing which limits the use of construction adhesive.
Refer to screw fix installation for best practices.
Suspended ceiling installation includes Rondo suspended ceiling systems.
